The new advertising site Sponsored Tweets claims to provide ad revenue for those who have an established Twitter account. Advertisers purchase adds from Sponsored Tweets and members tweet the info for pay. The minimum fee $1.00/per ad.
I signed up last week and immediately received two opportunities, then immediately did my part and set up the tweets. Now there is $2.00 in my account. They also have a referral program for anyone who signs up under you you are paid a commission (paid by the company not the Tweeter). If you are interested you can sign up here:
Sounds great right?
Well since the first opportunities came over I have not received any since. Others say it takes 3-4 weeks to become established, but it is a new program and at this point in time the Tweeters out number the advertisers. This can either be a good thing or a bad thing. If the program takes off, being in on the ground floor will be awesome and should create a nice little revenue stream. If the advertisers never come it will shut down quickly and we will never see our revenue as there is a $50.00 min. payout threshold.
For the few minutes it took to set up the account and the two minutes to complete the first two tweets it is worth the 50/50 shot on this one, so I'll just wait and see....
